I’ve spent the last week working with a lot of new tools and have been exploring many new blog ideas. There are so many exciting possibilities available for bloggers now. Since I have been blogging in 50 minute focused intervals I’ve found that I’ve added a lot of structure to my work style. This has helped me become much more consistent and able to post updates on a daily basis.
In my last post I talked about the possibilities of using this structured format over a 12 week period (until the end of the year) and to see what could come of it. I’m still working the bugs out of some of the ideas, but this weekend allowed me some time to experiment with a couple of things I have been wanting to implement for some time.
The first was a simple upgrade from Feedblitz that will allow you to subscribe to this blog by E-Mail. This is actually a great tool which I never really explored before. I have struggled to understand the idiosyncracies of RSS feeds and tools. They say that less than 20% of blog readers use RSS at all. Given my confusion (and I’m a tech guy) I can imagine most people have no idea what the little orange RSS icon is for and how to use it.
Enter Feedblitz… This gives anyone with E-Mail an easy way to get a daily recap of this blog. The content is delivered to your inbox overnight. You can unsubscribe at the click of a button and your e-mail address is spam protected. I will never rent, or sell your e-mail address or provide it to anyone else.
I’ve setup a simple subscription page for your convenience.
The second idea is to provide you with a content based newsletter on a regular schedule. This will have content updates, expanded ideas from our regular posts, and some great free tools. I’ll have some posts about this great tool over the next few days, with our first issue due out over the next few weeks.
For now you can subscribe to our newsletter by clicking on the icon below. This is really exciting to me and the people at A-Weber have been very helpful in setting this up. As with our e-mail blog subscription, you can unsubscribe at the click of a button and your e-mail address is spam protected. I will never rent, or sell your e-mail address or provide it to anyone else.
Stay tuned this week for updates. We have some exciting free downloads coming that will be available only to our subscribers so make sure to get your name on the list.
